| Rte 28 - W&OD | The old staple. Fall back on this part of the trail whenever you want "less traffic" and to experience the more scenic section of the W&OD. This is mostly flat with gentle grade climbs that start in Leesburg and continue all the way up to the trail end in Purcelville. Smooth and fast on the return back into Leesburg. |
| Roosevelt Island - Custis Trail | Mostly flat with a few short climbs on a bike trail through Arlington, you will connect with the W&OD in Falls Church. |

| Prince William Forrest - Visitor Center | Money Ride. Extremely "biker friendly" park near the Marine Corps Base, Quantico. It costs a few bucks to get in the gate (unless you have a park pass). Flat to rolling, with a few significant "noticeable" climbs. |
| Potomac River Running | They also have stores in Burke and in Ashburn, we will be using their Reston Location most of the time., Follow the directions on the link to the Reston Town Center. Look for the intersection of Bluemont and Library Street. There is a free parking garage right there. Find a space and take the stairs/elevator down to the street level. When you come out of the stairwell, turn left and PRR will be immediately on your left. |
